Delicious Potato fries

Who doesn’t love some good potato fries with a side of ketchup and mayo? Everybody does, especially the kids. So, make these delightful nibbles that will be an instant hit every time you make them.

For these easy yet delicious fries you will need the following:

  • 2-3 large potatoes, peeled and cut into large French-fry-sized pieces
  • 3 tbsp olive oil, to make it healthier
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Wash the potatoes in water to remove excess starch. Then dry them well using a kitchen towel to remove all the excess moisture. In a bowl, add the potatoes, oil, and mixed herbs. Combine well. Now line a baking tray with parchment paper and transfer the potatoes to it. Take care that you leave enough space between the fries to let them cook evenly. Then transfer this tray to a preheated oven toaster grill (OTG) at 180 degrees for 20 mins or until completely cooked and crunchy. Make sure you turn the potatoes halfway through the cooking process to cook them evenly on both sides.

Remove the baking tray, sprinkle with salt and pepper and serve with ketchup and mayo!

Vanilla butter cookies

Most kids love cookies and they vanish as soon as you make them. So, this recipe with its buttery goodness will surely be a mighty hit at your home. For these delicious, buttery and melt-in-the-mouth cookies, you will need the following:

  • 2 cups of unsalted butter
  • 1 and ½ cups of all-purpose flour or Maida
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • Salt, a pinch

baking-in-otg

Cream the unsalted butter and powdered sugar in a large bowl to form a smooth and fluffy mix. Add in the vanilla essence next and fold in gently. Sieve in the maida, salt and baking powder slowly. Keep folding gently until everything is well combined. Now transfer this mix into a piping bag. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and pipe out the cookies, leaving some space in between. This will help the cookies to cook evenly. Preheat your OTG at 180 degrees just like you would have done with any other ovens for baking and transfer the baking tray to it. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Afterward, cool them on a wire rack and surprise your kids with these delicious bakes!
