You don’t need a microwave to bake a soft, delicious cake at home. An OTG (Oven Toaster Griller) is one of the best appliances for baking because it provides consistent dry heat, helping cakes rise evenly and develop the perfect texture. Reliable models like the Agaro Marvel 25L OTG are ideal for everyday baking, while the larger Agaro Marvel 48L OTG is perfect when preparing cakes for family gatherings or special occasions.

OTGs from AGARO are designed to deliver stable temperature control, making home baking easier even for beginners.

Step 1: Prepare the Cake Batter

Start by gathering your ingredients - flour, sugar, eggs, butter, baking powder, and flavouring like vanilla or cocoa. Mix the dry and wet ingredients separately, then combine them gently to form a smooth batter. Avoid overmixing, as this can make the cake dense.

Grease your cake tin with butter and dust lightly with flour, or line it with baking paper. Pour the batter evenly into the tin.

Step 2: Preheat the OTG

Preheating is essential for proper baking. Set your OTG to 180°C and preheat for 10–15 minutes. This ensures the cake starts baking immediately and rises properly.

Both the Marvel 25L and 48L OTGs provide enough space and consistent heat distribution, which helps achieve even baking results.

Step 3: Place the Cake in the Correct Rack Position

Place the cake tin on the middle rack. This allows balanced heat from both the top and bottom heating rods, ensuring even baking without burning the top or undercooking the base.

Avoid placing the cake too close to the top heating rod.

Step 4: Set the Baking Time and Temperature

Bake the cake at 180°C for 30–40 minutes, depending on the size and thickness. Avoid opening the door frequently, as this can affect the cake’s rise.

You can check doneness by inserting a toothpick into the centre. If it comes out clean, the cake is ready.

Step 5: Cool Before Removing

Once baked, switch off the OTG and let the cake rest inside for 5 minutes. Then remove it and allow it to cool completely before slicing. This helps the cake set properly and improves texture.

With proper preheating, correct rack placement, and the right temperature, you can achieve soft, bakery-style cakes at home. Whether using the compact Marvel 25L OTG for regular baking or the spacious Marvel 48L OTG for larger portions, an OTG gives you complete control and consistent results, making home baking easy and enjoyable.
